Faith and the Academy Conference 2014

The seventh annual Faith and the Academy Conference with the theme “What makes Christian education Christian,” will be held February 7, 2014, on the campus of Faulkner University in Montgomery, AL.

Dr. Gary Selby
, Director of the Center for the Faith and Learning, Pepperdine University will be the plenary speaker.

There is still time to submit a paper proposal for this conference, but don’t delay.  December 15, 2013.

    I am interested in presenting a paper on revisiting Tertullian’s Question. “What has Athens to Do with Jerusalem? What concord is there between the academy and the church?” The paper would try to answer Tertullian’s question by examining the life and thought of four Christian thinkers: Clement of Alexandria, St. Augustine, Thomas Aquinas, and John Henry Newman.
